About
Julia Mazel, CPDT-KA
Julia got their start in dog training in 2018 though raising service dogs for the Guide Dog Foundation and teaching others how to work with and raise puppies to become service dogs. She graduated from the University of Georgia with degrees in Animal Science and Biological Sciences before transitioning to the shelter. There, Julia fell in love with the heart and honesty of behaviorally complex dogs. Julia still trains for NYCACC and is proud to serve the community and the dogs of New York City.
Julia is committed to using modern, force-free techniques to help create long-term behavior change and better communication between dog and guardian. The welfare of both you and your dog is always their top priority. Julia is a firm believer that interacting with your dog should be fun for everyone involved and strives to integrate that into her training. Training plans are simple, easy-to-follow, and focus on bridging the gap between your needs and your dog’s needs.
